Where to eat in Bardolino: a restaurant by the lake with traditional Italian cuisine
The restaurant La Loggia Rambaldi in Bardolino welcomes you to an enchanting 16th century building, directly overlooking Lake Garda. The local is also pizzeria, lounge music bar and a splendid setting for weddings and events.
A prestigious location for banquets and ceremonies
“A walled house, tiled roof, with attic, courtyard and vegetable garden viewing the Lake, where Girolamo lived, wherein there is another house with stable, olive press and olive store room.”
So is described the Girolamo Rambaldi Palace, in an official Act dated 1563, whose elegant building hosts the Restaurant Pizzeria “La Loggia Rambaldi” set in its belvedere.
Built at the end of 1500 by the Marquis Rambaldi, it is now owned by the Countess Guerrieri-Rizzardi. The arcades face Bardolino’s harbour, with its lake view, and its recent architectural restoration adding to its appeal.
These charms of the palace make it the ideal location for ceremonies, wedding receptions and special events.
From wedding receptions to corporate dining
The palace is set out on two floors and has many rooms, with different uses and capacities.
On the ground floor you find the main hall, derived from the three-aisled vaulted loggia, with a ribbed ceiling and a big fireplace to warm up the space during the winter season. “La Loggia” can host up to 110 guests, for lunch, dinner or for an event.
During summer season, or when weather permits, it is possible to lunch or dine in the lake front “Veranda”, where tables and chairs are set to accommodate another 80 guests.
Upstairs you can reach the “Cellar” hall, ideal for small groups (up to 16 people), who want to have lunch or dinner in a reserved atmosphere. It features an old country cart now transformed in a big table, the hall is ideal for an aperitif or a wine or local products testing.
Also on the first floor you find the “Prince Amedeo” hall, an exclusive location with a high ceiling, supported by 16th century trusses and a magnificent view of Bardolino’s harbour. It is ideal for banquets, receptions and weddings by Lake Garda. It can host up to 130 guests.
For buffet events it is also possible to be hosted in the “Barchessa” hall, which extends from the ground to the first floor and can accommodate up to 200 guests.
